Coping with Culture - Tagung am 4.10.: International Meeting of the Academic Network of Experts

In a globalized world with changing societies
and growing interdependences, the need to be
able to cope with upcoming cultural challenges
is imperative not only for political and economic
actors. This is also true for armed forces, whose
missions and operations require enormous
cross-cultural competences. In order to establish
a better understanding for the latter, we have
created an academic network named “Coping
with Culture”, unifying different services of the
German Armed Forces and several universities
under one umbrella. It is supposed to represent
a platform for exchange of perspectives.
We would now like to invite you to our conference
on “Culture Perspectives” on 4th October, which
is part of a combined program having started in
2011. Several speeches and open discussions
ought to address distinguishing prospects on the
topic.

From 11:30 hrs Arrival
11:30 – 13:00 hrs Registration and Lunch (optional)
13:00 hrs Welcome opening by the Commander Zentrum Innere Führung
Subsequently – 17:15 hrs C3: Military, political and scientific perspectives with respective panel
discussions addressing the presentations of:
· Former Member of the German Parliament, Winfried Nachtwei;
· Prof. Dr. Johann Galtung;
· Military Representative (N.N.)
From 18:00 Come together (including dinner)

Application:
Attendence is free of charge. A free shuttle service
will be provided every hour between Koblenz
main station and the conference. There will
be a charge of 15 Euros for the conference
package.
